Installing an automatic irrigation system
Water is the foundation of every healthy lawn and garden. Watering large areas by hand is hard work, uneven and wasteful. That is why more and more of our clients are choosing an automatic irrigation system — and we install it as a turnkey job.
The challenge
The brief was to cover the entire area evenly with water — no dry patches, no flooding — while using as little water as possible.
What we did
- Designed the sprinkler layout around the shape and slope of the site
- Laid underground pipework and fitted sprinklers (rotary and fan spray)
- Installed a programmable controller with a rain sensor
- Zoned the system by plant type — lawn, beds and shrubs kept separate
- Tested and made final adjustments to every zone
The result
The lawn now waters itself at the best time of day — early morning — evenly and with a noticeable saving in water. The client never gives watering a second thought.
