**In short:** A grass football pitch is the most demanding lawn there is. How we kept one pitch dense, level and green right through the season.

A grass football pitch is the most demanding lawn there is — it has to stand up to heavy foot traffic and still come back dense, level and green week after week.

## The challenge: pitch quality and safety through the whole season

To keep the pitch in good condition and safe to play on throughout the season, despite frequent and heavy use.

## What the work on a football pitch involves

- Regular mowing to a precisely set height
- Aeration and top dressing with sand for healthy, deep roots
- Feeding to a set programme and preventive disease treatments
- Repair and overseeding of worn and thinning areas
- Even irrigation across the whole pitch

*Regular mowing to an exact height is the foundation of a good pitch.*

## The result: a dense, level, green pitch all season long

The pitch stayed dense, level and green all season — safe for the players and good to look at from the stands.
