# Landscaping a weekend retreat for complete relaxation

**In short:** How the neglected garden of a weekend retreat becomes a quiet green oasis — a place for morning coffee and evening rest, far from the noise of the city.

A weekend retreat exists for one purpose — to be a place to rest. When the owners of a retreat on the hillsides outside town got in touch, the brief was clear: turn a neglected garden into a quiet green oasis, somewhere to escape the everyday.

## The vision: a natural, relaxing garden around the cottage

A natural, relaxing space that brings together a well-kept lawn, fragrant planting and a comfortable seating corner — a place for morning coffee and evening rest.

## What the work at a weekend cottage involves

- Preparing and sowing the lawn all around the house
- Building paved paths and approaches
- Planting trees, shrubs and fragrant flowers
- Creating a sheltered seating corner surrounded by greenery
- Installing discreet lighting for the evenings

## The result: the owners now spend most of their time outdoors

A retreat treated this way ends up with a complete, well-tended garden that invites you to rest — and most of the time then gets spent outdoors.
